Feliz Navidad!
Here at Remar we have a lot of Christmas trimmings in place.  The outdoor Christmas tree is placed twinkling under the coconut palm.  The dining room tree is decorated with tinsel, handprints, and shiny ornaments.  There are garlands and lights, stockings and wreaths.  The children have enjoyed visitors on several occasions bringing treats and presents.  They are having a wonderful holiday.  Fireworks explode outside the gate every night.  The big day for celebration is Dec 24th.  Expect it to be pretty energetic - that being read as lots of children and lots of sweets.
The school graduation was a wonderful ceremony.  So much of which to be proud.  Reyna was glowing. We can feel blessed as a congregation to be supporting this young woman in her college pursuit.  She is hard-working, intelligent, gracious, and kind.
Anna's absence is felt every day as we scramble to fill her role.  Her absence is felt deeply in our hearts as well.  We continue to pray for wisdom for her and strength to remain true to the Lord.
Lucy will be returning soon from Guatamala and will take over the baby house
As a praise to the help of the Lord, Yesenia ( Chocolata) has returned to Remar after being sent back to family upon turning 15. It was an evil situation, and the Lord answered our prayers on her behalf.  She is as beautiful as ever and seems to be very happy to be home.  Continue to pray for Wendy and Tatiana.  God can rescue these two as well.
Progress on the bakery continues and should be ready for the group that is here in February.  The effort the men here have devoted to this construction project for literally only their daily beans and rice is humbling and encouraging.  Please pray for their safety and strength.
My Spanish continues to improve, at least enough to know when I am being told off by a three year old (okay, maybe body language and a two inch wagging finger in my face tells at lot).  Conversation is still a trial but as always the little dictonary is my constant companion.
Computer time is now more rare than even before.  I will update when I can.
In Christ's love,
DeLynn
